Privacy Protocol
This Privacy Policy describes how "Cyber Paranoids" (the "Skill"), an Alexa skill developed solely within the Alexa Developer Console, collects, uses, and discloses information from its users. The Skill is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Cyber Paranoids skill, we may collect the following information:
- User Prompts/Input: The text and voice input you provide to the Skill (your "prompts").
- Skill Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Skill, such as the frequency and duration of your sessions.
- Alexa-Provided Information: Amazon may provide us with a unique identifier for your Amazon account (User ID) to personalize your experience and manage data storage. We do not receive your name, email address, or other personal contact information from Amazon.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Skill's Services: Your prompts are sent to the ChatGPT API to generate appropriate responses and fulfill your requests.
- To Improve the Skill: We analyze usage data to understand how the Skill is used and to make future improvements to its functionality and user experience.
- For Troubleshooting and Support: We may use stored prompts to debug errors and resolve technical issues.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes. User responses generated by the ChatGPT API are not stored and are not used for any marketing activities.
3. Data Storage and Retention
We store user prompts in a secure Amazon DynamoDB database. The data stored in DynamoDB uses its default encryption state, which means your data is encrypted at rest using Amazon-managed encryption keys.
We retain user prompts for a maximum of seven (7) days from the date of collection. After this period, the data is automatically deleted.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We share your voice/text input with the ChatGPT API (operated by OpenAI) to process your requests and provide the Skill’s functionality. OpenAI’s use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights or property of the Skill, or ensure the safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. As mentioned, the data stored in DynamoDB is encrypted at rest. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage your privacy settings through the Alexa app:
- Voice History: You can review, hear, and delete your voice interactions with the Skill via the Alexa app (Settings > Alexa Privacy > Review Voice History). Deleting history through the Alexa app may not immediately delete data stored in our DynamoDB database, which adheres to its own 7-day retention policy.
- Disable the Skill: You can disable the Cyber Paranoids skill at any time within the Alexa app.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the skill description in the Alexa Skill Store. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
8. Contact Us
